Part 1: Meet the Editors in Chief
On Being a Good Assistant:
Robbie Myers:Every single thing that you do is an opportunity to meet somebody.
A sense of humility goes a long way.
Ariel Foxman: This is not 'The Devil Wears Prada.'
Be pleasant.
On Interviewing/Writing Cover Letters:
Amy Astley:Know the person you're talking to in an interview. Cover letters should be brief and to the point.
Foxman: Make sure your social media presence is respectable. Send personal, handwritten thank you notes after an interview. Don't ask a fake question if you don't have one--say you want the job [instead].
On Dressing For The Job:
Astley: I feel that your clothes speak volumes...I'm looking for creativity.
On Their Personal Careers:
Myers: If there's anything that I regret, it's not showing up for certain things.
