Inside The Fiszel Family Foundation's Sweet, Stylish Evening, #BeeAware

by Guest of A Guest · April 12, 2022

Eat, Drink and Bee Aware - the brilliant spirit behind the Fiszel Family Foundation's recent stylish soirée aimed at raising awareness about Bees and their role in global food security.

Founded in 2018 by David Fiszel, philanthropist and founder of Honeycomb Asset Management, the Fiszel Family Foundation supports a range of charitable causes, including education, hunger, and healthcare, the most buzz-worthy of which is The Bee Conservancy.

Fiszel hosted the thoughtful, chic, informational affair at Zero Bond,  highlighting a sweet selection of honey varietals in the evening's hors d'oeuvres and cocktails and, most poignantly, touching upon the importance of pollinators in Ukraine.

Considered one of the leading honey producers in Europe, Ukraine boasts approximately 400,000 beekeepers or, put in an even more impactful way, 1 beekeeper for every 107 Ukrainians.

Following the reading of a letter by former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko expressing his support for the Fiszel Family Foundation's efforts, the event's host announced that for each guest in attendance, donations would be made to the UN World Food Program to help feed Ukrainian refugees.

Indeed a most generous ending to a sweet evening.
