From Kenmare to Fifth Ave, Lupus Foundation to New Yorkers for Children, people in this city always have some reason to whip out the champagne and cocktail napkins. Here's a look at some of the occasions for celebrating from last week...-

Salvatore Ferragamo and W Magazine hosted a private cocktail party last week to benefit New Yorkers For Children. Guests including Chiara Ferragamo, Dori Cooperman, Lydia Fenet, Alina Cho, and Julie Macklowe were invited to shop resort looks styled by W Magazine, the proceeds of which all went to improving the lives of children in Foster Care in NYC.

Jimmy Crystal New York and Swarovski joined together for a viewing of Swarovski Elements Autum/Winter trends. Guests at the party were invited to peruse the sparkly clothes and accessories, as well as listen to a performance by Stephanie Carache (who was pretty sparkly herself...)

While the owners of Kenmare were busy receiving their Paper Magazine Award for Best Restaurant With A Nightlife Scene, the restaurant itself was playing host to Hudson Jeans, who chose the venue for a party celebrating their Spring 2011 collection. Mannequins were set up around the venue, so guests got to check out the fashion before settling down with their drinks in Kenmare's famous little corners. Maybe next year Paper will come up with a "Best Restaurant with nightlife AND fashion scene" award?
