MOMAPS1 hosted their Warm Up concert series this past Saturday. Their infamous 7 hour dance party, housed within an architectural installation (crafted by the winner of the Young Architects Program) brought an eclectic crowd, fashionable babies included, ready to rage.-

Guests "warmed up" by lounging in the outdoor courtyard, sipping on beers, frolicking through the over-sized kiddie pool and enjoying the bouncy balance balls which hung from above in nets. Sandpits also offered an oasis to lounge in away from the crowds...

The event has grown to be one of New York City's most anticipated events of the summer, providing New Yorkers with a complete multi-sensory experience of art and music. As concert goers tried to beat the heat with psychedelic prints and bright colored wayfarers, the dance party ensued. The performers offered an array of experimental music, dj sets by Ratatat, Air France and Justin Miller; and a live performance by ARP.

Warm Up is the perfect venue for trendy-indie families, young art appreciators and general beer enthusiasts. Warm up also is a perfect reminder as to why outdoors concerts are the highlight of summer in New York.. So go ahead and get warmed up every Saturday in Long Island City (because you probably didn't have a reason to go to Queens before this) at PS1 through September 4th!
