Yesterday evening, guests convened at Studio 385 in Tribeca to support the NYC-based "Girl Soldier" charity. The event was sponsored in part by Beats by Dr. Dre, Gin Lane Media, and Lola NY and hosted by a large list of generous contributors including  Heidi Bivens, Alexandra Richards, Anna Sheffield, Amanda Shine, and Maggie Gray.-

Music was provided throughout the night by DJ Vibe, Max Barbaria, and Ramona Sidlo. The event was held in order to raise funds and awareness for Girl Soldier; a non-profit aimed at securing basic human rights for girls around the world. The charity has a strong global perspective and focuses on war-ravaged second and third world countries where young women are in dire need of protection and a more promising future. The event coincided with the release of Caspian Pictures' Girl Soldier; which tells the story of the kidnapping of 139 girls from the St. Mary's boarding school in Uganda; the very sort of instance the philanthropic organization is working to avoid.
