New York City native Emily Saunders hosted a video release party titled “Aren’t Women Wonderful?” on November 18, 2013 at the charming and intimate Salón Hecho on Bowery. Guests were able to chat with Emily throughout the night about her latest film endeavor.

The film is a tribute to the power of women throughout history, exemplified by the women featured on this romanticized archaeological dig. The antiqued feel of the sepia-toned film is tempered by Saunders' use of vibrant fabrics and modern silhouettes, fusing the two has created a film that celebrates women, beauty and strength.

Throughout the evening, guests nibbled on authentic Mexican cuisine from Hecho en Dumbo and the house made guacamole, which was a hit. At the bar, Mezcal margaritas and other Mezcal specialty drinks were just a few of the options available to round off their evenings.
