Alexandre Birman hit Bergdorf's on Saturday to promote his recent women's footwear collection. Ladies received advice from the sartorial guru- the shoes are decadent, featuring metallic embroidery, small braiding, and high quality leather. A featured favorite was the Crisscross Strappy Python Sandal. It's a classic look featuring simple adornments that will match every outfit. You can preview the collection below or on Birman's website.

The Humane Society of New York's message is a heartfelt one, best told through the words of Henry Beston:

"In a world older and more complete than ours they move finished and complete, gifted with extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by voices we shall never hear. They are not brethren, they are not underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the earth."

Mark W. Smith supported this benevolent society this weekend as guests celebrated the cause with their toy pups at Pacha and watched a performance by Broadway star Rachelle Rak. Mostly known for singing "I Gotcha" in Fosse, Rachelle gave an equally sizzling number dressed in an almost see-through nylon bodysuit. A note about the host: Mark W. Smith is a best-selling New York Times author and co-executive of a Madison-Avenue law firm.
