Last night, guests at the American Friends of the Louvre Soiree had a little too much fun with powdered wigs at the elegant affair.

The evening began at Dalva Brothers Gallery on the Upper East Side. Guests enjoyed a champagne reception while browsing pieces at the gallery, which specializes in 18th century French decorative arts. Attendees had the rare opportunity to view museum quality pieces that once belonged to the likes of Marie Antoinette and Madame de Pompadour.
The main benefit was held nearby at the home of the Cultural Services of the French Embassy, which has a gorgeous view of Central Park. The fete featured a silent auction, DJ, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, dessert and more champagne than one person can handle (which might explain guests donning powdered wigs by the end of the night!).
