Elizabeth Street Launches With A Breakfast At The Waverly Inn

Our EIC, Rachelle Hruska MacPherson, hosted the launch of the Elizabeth Street website on Friday with a  celebratory breakfast at The Waverly Inn. Stylish mothers including Anna Scott Carter, designer Cynthia Rowley, Joanna Della Valle, Vanity Fair's SunHee Grinnell, NYMag's Amy Larocca, Erika Bearman, Gilt Groupe's Alexandra Wilkis Wilson, and more gathered for the intimate breakfast.

A few months back, Emanuele Della Valle launched Elizabeth Street as a city guide app. The site officially launched on Friday and features stylish moms from around the globe, covering their fashion, travel, philanthropy, and lifestyles. Rachelle was the latest contributor to the website, giving a sneak peek of her daily life as owner of Guest of a Guest and mother of Maxwell.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Mr. Della Valle came up with the idea for the site two years ago.

"I was talking to my wife and my friends, and now most of them are contributors to our site." He liked that the name Elizabeth Street had a "geographic angle" and a woman's name in it. The actual location is "not too high end, not too mass market. We know that all moms have a story to tell, even if they're not uber-affluent."
