Hit Up Spring Place Tomorrow Morning For An Immunity Boosting Workout Experience

by Christie Grimm · October 23, 2020

Take full advantage of fall rooftop season this Saturday, October 24th at Spring Place! Our fitness favorite the ness is hosting an Immunity Morning at the downtown hot spot featuring a socially distanced outdoor sculpt class followed by a handful of amazingly curated wellness activation from THE WELLWell Told HealthORA Space and FUR, and you so won't want to miss it!

Keep your immunity boosted as we move into the cold months ahead and be sure to sign up for the 10:30AM workout experience via mindbody

Curious what to expect? We caught up with the ness Co Founder Dria Murphy to hear all about what she's got planned, how she's pivoted during the pandemic, and more!

What can guests expect on Immunity Morning?
Guests can expect to experience movement followed by wellness activations at the Spring Place rooftop, which is the perfect outdoor space, and I will be curating an assortment of my favorite immunity-boosters.

Immunity morning will begin with a QiGong session from THE WELL to prioritize intentional and mindful movement before socially distant outdoor sculpt with the ness begins. After class, wellness activations will kick off with THE WELL’s Everything Mist bar to enhance mood, clarity and focus; plant-based Energy Boosters from Well Told Health for a jitter-free boost; a tonic bar by ORA space with immunity-boosting properties for gut health; and clean moisturizing oil by FUR, which I love to smooth and soothe hands post-sanitizing.

What motivated you to safely execute an outdoor group wellness event?
Now more than ever, people are craving forms of self-care and community, especially moving into colder months, and I want to create an environment for people to move and nourish their bodies - and feel safe at the same time. Immunity is a huge focus these days with everything going on, so it felt right to find a way to safely activate with clients and socially distance without losing a sense of community.

Have you been hosting other socially distant events?
I was lucky enough to pivot to socially distant events at the beginning of summer in the Hamptons. The ness kicked off outdoor socially distant sculpt classes with a weekly series for hotel guests at HERO Beach Club in Montauk. In July, we added classes at The Reform Club in Amagansett to the schedule. In August, I curated a beauty and wellness pop-up at HERO Beach Club in partnership with Nordstrom in celebration of their same-day delivery option in the Hamptons and NYC. The ness was part of the partnership as well, and hosted a series of classes for HERO Beach Club hotel guests in August and September. The ness is currently in residency at The Rockaway Hotel and Spring Place until the weather no longer permits.

    What has been the reaction?
We’ve had an incredible turnout and guests have expressed such joy and gratitude. Especially after this insane year stuck indoors, it’s so nice to get together in a safe way and adapt to the new normal. I’m also so happy to share these incredible brands that I love and that I know this community will, too.

Advice for others pivoting during this time?
Lean on your network, listen to your gut and prioritize safety.
