Founded in 1997, the non-profit emphasizes the importance of music education programs in schools across America, and firmly believes music plays a crucial role in every child's development. To date, the program has provided more than $45 million worth of instruments to 1,700 public schools around the country, with the help of major musicians Beyonce, Kelly Clarkson, Mandy Moore, and Jason Mraz.
And last night, the foundations efforts continued under the glittering discoballs and between the various ice sculptures. Attendees sipped neon blue and green Hypnotiq drinks, twirled their glowsticks and danced to remixes of Ke$ha and the Black Eyed Peas -- all in the name of music! There was even confetti, which reminded the occasional old folk of their days as youths, when only dancers wore leotards and the only thing colorful about a cocktail was the cherry.
