In recent years, the famed Met Gala may have been taken over by Kimye and a new generation of social media famous faces, but it will always be Anna's bash. The vanguard of Vogue, the gatekeeper of fashion itself, is, in fact, so steeped in the annual soirée, that in 2014 the Metropolitan Museum of Art actually renamed its Costume Institute in her honor - The Anna Wintour Costume Center, natch. She's been the co-chair of the event since 1995 (following in the footsteps of one other fashion icon you may have heard of... ahem, Jackie O.?) but has been attending since the '80s.
