Anna Wintour And Bee Shaffer Go Green At Art Of Elysium's Bright Lights Party

[all photos by Steve Eichner for WWD] Donatella Versace and co-designer of her Versus line, Christopher Kane, hosted the Art of Elysium’s Bright Lights party at Milk Studios on Friday. Anna Wintour, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Alexa Chung filled out the venue.-

Even though Donatella absorbed some of the party's spotlight, people were careful to remember they were there to celebrate Art of Asylum and their noteworthy work. The charity brings creative activities and materials to children suffering from medical conditions, and earlier that day, Kane had visited with some of the children. He remarked how his whole perspective changed after he built dresses for Barbie dolls with them.

"I left feeling like, How lucky am I? These kids are so vulnerable, so brave and amazing at the same time and it was so inspiring so I was like 'Why do we ever complain in our lives when actually this is like such a great cause and these kids are the bravest people ever?'”"

Aww, warm hearts all around. Even Anna Wintour looks a tad more emotional than usual. But then again, maybe it's just the heat. Or the children.
