Best Dressed At The 2011 MET Gala

Every year, the fashion world looks forward to the pomp and circumstance of New York’s annual Met Gala. This year, the theme “Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty” paid homage to the late Lee McQueen, a true monarch in the industry.

It’s been quite a royal weekend for the brand’s heir, new head designer Sarah Burton, who also designed Kate Middleton’s much anticipated wedding dress for Friday’s wedding to Prince William.  But last night, only a handful of guests chose to wear McQueen’s designs – the majority sporting looks from all over the season’s runways. In an event so packed with gorgeous people wearing gorgeous gowns, it’s hard to choose favorites.
