ASMALLWORLD Chairman Patrick Liotard-Vogt hosted a rooftop soiree at his Manhattan apartment last night to celebrate the kick-off of Fashion Week with magician David Blaine in support of Lets F Cancer. Blaine, who arrived with his fiancee, French model Alizee Guinochet, dazzled guests with a variety of magic tricks involving cards, bending coins and even a little mind-reading.- Among the guests were fashion designers including Maria Cornejo, Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos of Shipley and Halmos, Christopher Kunz of Nicholas K, Waris Ahluwalia, Monique Paen, Claude Morais and Brian Wolk of Ruffian and Miguelina Gambaccini, who welcomed a respite from last minute model fittings and fashion week frenzy. Looking none the worse for wear, models Anouk Lepere, Fernanda Motta, Amy Lemmons and Devon Aoki were also on hand to watch Blaine's trickery and sip DeLeon watermelon margaritas on the rooftop terrace, which was decorated by Guini Suarez of Dekar Designs, who is best known for her work at West Village eatery Bobo.
Other guests included fashionistas including Bonnie Morrison, Nina Freudenberger, Sabine Heller, Ashley Wick, Chessy Wilson, Jennifer Pastore, Karen Duffy, Antonia Thompson, GofG's Rachelle Hruska with Sean MacPherson, artists/sisters Poppy and Daisy deVilleneuve, photographer Frances Tulk-Hart, artist Mark Borkwith and former model turned entrepreneur Eric Villency.
