Other details: On Thursday, The Daily Front Row hosted their 4th annual Fashion Media Awards at the Park Hyatt New York. It was the perfect platform to celebrate the collaborative spirit of the fashion industry among sartorial genius and incomparable beauty. As individuals took to the mic during the ceremony, what was once a ballroom full of the brightest stars in fashion began to feel more like a small gathering of close friends. Between host with the most Alan Cumming's charming puns and innuendos; the highly personal presentations given by Gigi Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski, Adriana Lima, Carine Roitfeld, Karlie Kloss, and even a video dedication to Photographer of the Year Sebastian Faena from one Celine Dion; and the heartfelt acceptance speeches of honorees including industry prodigy and Female Model of the Year Kaia Gerber, LOVE Magazine’s visionary Katie Grand, the aforementioned talented and humble Mr. Faena, and the quintessentially American fashion designing legend Tommy Hilfiger among others, the air had a distinct sense of gratitude and appreciation to it. 

A highlight of the night for everyone in attendance, aside from soaking up the sight of Cumming's right hand model man (better known as his “beautiful award bitch”) Cory Bond, was witnessing the passing of the torch from supermodel Cindy Crawford to her beautiful mini-me Kaia who at only 15 years old has made a name for herself and found a spot in the industry on her own merit. The whole Gerber-Crawford crew was in attendance and looking better than ever, believe it or not, to celebrate Kaia, including father Rande and older brother Presley. Another notable family act was Tommy Hilfiger and his recently engaged daughter Ally who gushed to Guest of a Guest about her excitement to be collaborating closely with her father to design her wedding dress which is poised to be more bohemian than classic to better suit the beachy setting where she plans on spending her big day. The evening was the perfect way to kick off fashion week, it inspired and motivated the fashion community - not just to hit the gym and try to get Adriana Lima-style bicep definition, but also to take more risks, do more projects, have more fun, and especially to give credit where credit is due.
