Plaid and Stripes
A good way to try out a grunge look is with plaid and stripes. These prints aren't just for kids, and they aren't just for flannel either. On the spring runway, Dries Van Noten showed organza plaid blouses with a touch of sheerness. Plaid doesn't have to be heavy and it's not reserved for shirts - spring runways were chock-full of patterned pants and skirts. Try mixing and matching plaids and stripes.
