True Sophistication? Having A Home Safe

by Christie Grimm · April 21, 2020

I can't tell you how many times I've thought to myself, "Wait, where is my birth certificate?" or "What random box did I put my leftover Euros in?" Oh, and then there's always the anxious fun of tearing through all of my jewelry boxes for a family ring I'd swear had to be there, but in fact was somehow in a random drawer in a different room entirely.

Some may think that buying your first designer bag or renting an apartment all on your own are seminal markers of adulthood, but I think the true symbol of having officially grown up to be a sophisticated member of society is the moment you buy a safe. When you realize that what you have is important enough to be  taken care of, important enough to be kept safe not only from the wandering hands of others, but from your own forgetful mind.

Obviously I'm not about to steer you into buying a horribly ugly, outdated thousand pound box that looks like it crawled out of an old hotel room closet. MyCube is a really chic small home safe that is perfect for design-conscious people, like ourselves.

As a starter safe (let's just pretend that's a thing), I'd recommend their MyCube Mini. It comes in Tiffany Blue, which is obviously the right answer, has an internal light, a bottom jewelry pad, digital lock, and perhaps most responsible and intriguing of all, a lifetime guarantee.

So, exactly what would you put in your own personal safety deposit box?

Love letters from an ex boyfriend? A list of all of your passwords? Your credit card, to keep you from spending everything you don't have? A treasured photo of you and a best friend? Your passport? A list of everyone who's ever wronged you? A bag full of fake diamonds? A bag full of REAL diamonds!? The possibilities are endless!
