This pie shop in Tribeca makes a strong case to be the king of kings when it comes to pie. At $65 per pie the price seems steep, but it's worth every dime. Bubby's uses real sour cherries from Michigan to create a Michigan Sour Cherry pie. Maple syrup is a substitute for corn syrup when making an authentic Pecan Maple Pie. Four different kinds of apples combine with a brown sugar crumble in their Apple Whiskey Crumble.
The place is the favorite of several celebrities like
Jon Stewart and Sarah Michelle Gellar. John Lithgow tried to hunt down the source of the sour Michigan cherries. Oh, and Bubby's banana-creme is some serious business.
