The Knicks sideline reporter threw a party to celebrate the launch of her book of tips so now when your boss asks who sunk a three from the top of the key in last night's game you can tell her.

Subtle isn't a strong point for most New Yorkers but Basak Malone's newest curation at the Gelabert Studios Galleries makes the case for soft over strong. Artists including Carlos Aquilino, Aase-Hilde Brekke, Anthony Coffey and Tove Hellerud contributed and gathered to toast the opening in an understated manner.

Mauro Bonacina, the Milanese born artist, opened his first New York show at the Charles Bank Gallery with a clatch of close friends and an abundance of vino. The large scale black and white pieces looked right at home in the always innovation gallery space.
