- "Oil Slick" is a response to the continuing oil spill in the Gulf that began in April of this year. A diverse group of artists, who use oil painting as a medium, collaborate to bring awareness to and raise money for the process of recovery to the region along the Gulf of Mexico. Artists will be donating 35 percent of the sales of their work to The Nature Conservancy's "Fund For Gulf Coast Restoration". The Nature Conservancy is a leading conservation organization that is currently active in environment restoration and marine and wildlife relief along the affected coasts.
