Opening Gala Concert of the New York Philharmonic’s 175th Season
What: The New York Philharmonic and Music Director Alan Gilbert launch the 175 anniversary season with a program celebrating New York City, and honoring the Philharmonic’s legacy of premiering important works: the New York Premiere of John Corigliano’s STOMP for Orchestra; Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, From the New World; and Gershwin’s Concerto in F, with jazz pianist Aaron Diehl as soloist in his Philharmonic debut.
