Fleet Week & The Intrepid So maybe you're over the cute sailors in their uniforms, but the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is open for the first time since 2006 in honor of Fleet Week. Where: Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum on Pier 86 (46 Street and 12 Avenue) Why: Special events commemorate the men and women who have served this country, ranging from a ceremonial wreath laying in honor of those who were at Iwo Jima and its survivors, to cheering on your favorite marines and sailors as they duke it out in athletic competitions.  For more details and times, go here.

Times Square Memorial Day Celebration & Screening This New York City tourist attraction has been rearranged for the pedestrian's maximum comfort, by creating pedestrian plazas where outdoor screening, festivals, and art exhibits will be held, starting with a free screening of the musical "On the Town" Where: Times Square Promenade (Broadway between 42nd & 47th Streets) When: Monday, May 25, 12pm
