Why: Last year’s Black Ball raised $2.4m and celebrated the power and potential of a generation of young people living with HIV and looked to a new generation of activists in the fight to end AIDS. The evening was hosted by Alicia Keys, with guest hosts Swizz Beatz and Sean ”Puffy’ Combs, honoree Riccardo Tisci, guest speaker Phindile Sithole-Spong, and musical performances by Alicia Keys, David Byrne, NAS, Sean ”Puffy’ Combs & Angel Haze. This year's Keep A Child Alive Black Ball is on Thursday, November 5th from 6:00-10:00 p.m. and will be hosted by Alicia Keys.
