2015 Young Lions Fiction Award BenefitYoung Lions Fiction Award Benefit When: Mon, April 27,8:00 pm - 12:00 pm Where: 476 Fifth Avenue Why: For the past fifteen years, The New York Public Library's Young Lions Fiction Award has championed emerging writers and encouraged innovation and excellence in contemporary fiction. To commemorate this year's milestone anniversary, the Library will host the Young Lions Fiction Award Benefit on April 27, 2015. Following the announcement of the winner at the Fiction Award ceremony, the Benefit will feature dancing, cocktails, and light fare in historic Astor Hall. All proceeds will support the work and services of The New York Public Library. The Benefit's Co-Chairs are Aziz Ansari, Nick Brown, Sloane Crosley, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Leandra Medine, Indre Rockefeller, and Jenny Slate. The finalists for the 2015 Young Lions Fiction Award are: Molly Antopol for "The UnAmericans;" Jesse Ball for "Silence Once Begun;" Catherine Lacey for "Nobody is Ever Missing;" Andrew Ladd for "What Ends;" and Ben Lerner for "10:04."
