What's your top piece of advice for women looking to enter fields that might be primarily run by men?
You have to be incredibly tenacious and thick-skinned. Getting into this business as a woman is like chipping at a block with a toothpick. My best advice for women is to identify what you’re good at and what unique qualities you bring to the table. Be resourceful, network, and never stop researching and learning about your industry. I found that during my career, I had to always stay two steps ahead of my male counterparts. I am often questioned or challenged on the job site and as a woman, you can’t let that get in your head. You have to push forward.
