Have you always had this understanding of your personal style?
Yes, I credit most of it to my mother, since I was raised to celebrate great textiles and workmanship. I grew up in Queens, NY, but my mother was a huge hippie vintage enthusiast and an amazing collector of special things. She always dressed me in amazing dresses, and I always knew that puffy sleeves, high ruffled collars, and floral fabrics lit up my brain more than anything else.
