In a way, is it safe to say this all started with those divine little seed crackers you have over at Cafe Clover?
The idea for Clover Grocery did start with those seed crackers from Cafe Clover. When we first opened, we wanted to offer a good, healthy alternative to bread, and our Chef, David Standridge, spent weeks developing this seed cracker recipe. They became really popular, and diners at the restaurant were always asking if they could buy some to-go. It was the same with things like our sweet potato hummus, salad dressings, alternative pastas, diners wanted to buy them from us to use at home. That's what sparked this idea for a grocery where we could sell the products we make as well as products we love.
