Tell me a little bit about yourself.
I’m an artist in New York. I’m actually from Pennsylvania. I grew up on a farm in PA. My wife and I have been [in New York] for 13 years. I was working even before that. Right when I graduated from art school, I went to Vermont. I traveled around, took up a studio in Sebastian, Florida for about five years, and then came up here, and we started in Brooklyn and have stayed here.
Aside from the obvious reasons, why New York?
I went to art school in Pennsylvania, and from there, New York was only an hour away, so it was always somewhere I went, and I always had an attraction to it. I always was taught that it was the art capital of the world. So I figured if you were going to make it anywhere, you might as well make it here.
