So how did the Draw Us Sin project work?
This takes it to the next level, where I was inviting artists and musicians to come with me, and I had the back line set up. But this time, it wasn't based on their commercial performances. It was based on what they were personally working on, solo projects, that commercial avenues aren't paying attention to - what they do on a daily basis. I wanted to engage their experimenting with work while I was experimenting with work. I was making large ink grounds on paper and drawing on top of this. I was bringing the portraits of musicians and these compositions to tell a story - as figures to tell a story that might represent what’s happening there in that moment.
