Do you pick pieces with a particular type of girl in mind?
When sourcing pieces, does your own aesthetic play into it, or are you picking pieces with a particular type of girl in mind?
When I first started last spring, I didn't have a particular girl, so I went from my gut and just bought what I loved. Then, I had to really go into the statistics, be in the store and see what my customer was. So at the end of the day, I always start with my gut. Whenever I go into a showroom, I over-pull. I always look at the pre-pull and say, 'don't get too excited. I'm not gonna buy all of this.' I always pull everything I love and then I start filtering in who's gonna wear this besides me. Or maybe I won't wear this, but she will. Now I'm a little smarter, a little more educated. I always say if I continue to really be guided from my insides, then I'll always be consistent. I'll always have my loyal following because they trust my taste, so I have to stick to it. That's kind of my guideline.
