You collaborated with Kaelen Haworth on a new capsule collection of festival attire. Can you tell me about that?

Totally - so Kaelen is an amazing designer, and she happens to be a really good friend of mine. I was talking to her months before going to Coachella, and I was saying how you get those "Festival Style" emails from Nasty Gal or Shopbob. All these places that are bombarding me with what they think we should be wearing to festivals. I went into H&M when I DJ'd an event for them, where they had a whole festival section with neon, and I was like I'm not really into any of this stuff. I get it, it's so fun but I've also been to Coachella 6 years in a row and it's the same stuff, and Kaelen was like why don't we do a little thing? I'll make you some things you want to wear, and you can wear them, and so that's what I did. We just played around; some of the things were old samples she had, and I was like why don't we cut it here or do this and she did and it all came out great. There weren't that many pieces but it was enough to get me through the weekend and more.
Was the muted green and salmon color palette a nod to the neon pink and green so prevalent at festivals?
No, I'm really into mint green and it's actually my favorite color. The pink was actually Kalen's choosing, and I was a little unsure of the salmon color, but it ended up looking so beautiful in the fabrics when it was done.
