Your site merges social media and wedding planning to become a one-stop shop for brides and planners to connect with local vendors – everything from photographers to venues. When did you notice there was a need for such an outlet?

I left my job in venture for business school and it was there, listening to a lecture about diamonds, when I first considered the wedding industry. There were really two things for me: first there was an opportunity to speak to that lux and aspirational consumer, which allowed me to build upon my past experience. And secondly, and really, more importantly, no one had truly built a business where the focus wasn't actually on the consumer but rather on the half a million local wedding businesses that power the industry.
