Maybe the most famous pup since Lassie, Toast's can't-stop-looking cute factor is such a brilliant platform to raise awareness for commercial dog breeding. What's the most surprising thing you wish people knew about puppy mills?
People often nod their heads and say they know what a puppymill is but the main take away that I try to help people understand is that ALL the pet stores you see have puppies from those puppymills. They show photos of farms to make people feel like they are legit. Some even say "These are not puppymills puppies" on the walls...it's all a lie. If you purchase your pup from a pet store, you subject the moms and dads of these puppies to a terrible life. (Puppymills are more like factory farming for dogs.)
