Those guys were involved, Andrew was involved, I was involved, we had an outside architect called MA Morris Adjemi, they did the theory building in the west village. His company has a history of working with landmark buildings, which this wasn’t, but he obviously has affection for working with old buildings and how to adaptively reuse them in intelligent ways. The whole process was lovely.” Tell me about the floors, they are heated right? "We raised the floors in the building about two feet. Because the ceiling height was so insane we were worried about the rooms feeling a bit like an envelope. It let us put all of the engineering under the floor and leave our ceilings exposed so all of the plumbing and electrical runs under the floors - Jed and these guys are really smart about how to do practical luxury."
