We are continually inspired by our roots, memories and experiences. The Aviary Collection evolved from lessons learned from Grandma, Leslie's mother and Octavia's grandmother. Having arrived in New York from a war-torn Europe in 1945, Grandma never wasted any food. In Montauk, our favorite place to gather, she would always leave her breakfast crumbs on the deck railing "for the birds." As they flocked and chirped, we would tease her that when she was gone, she would return as a bird to visit us. She loved this story and a random trinket sparked our idea for the collection.
