What was the inspiration behind the S, M, L design?
The existing bars were an inspiration certainly. And we of course appropriated the name from Rem Koolhaas’ famous book S, M, L, XL. We want to support creative individuals however we can and we have this wonderful space to invite people in and to help them hopefully expand their businesses and customer bases. We want the 3 makers at their individual bars to get to know one another and hopefully leave Fort Gansevoort at the end of their terms with only positive experiences.
