Audubon New York honored Sheila Brady, FASLA, Principal at Oehme, van Sweden, and Susan and Coleman Burke with the 2017 Thomas W. Keesee, Jr. Conservation Award on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the Metropolitan Club in New York City. This year’s event also honored acclaimed author of environmental literature Terry Tempest Williams with the 2017 Audubon New York Award for Environmental Writing, and included a special recognition of pioneering conservationist Patricia H. Keesee.
National Audubon Society President and CEO David Yarnold was joined in the awards program by Dr. Stephen W. Kress, Executive Director of the Seabird Restoration Program and Vice President for Bird Conservation of the National Audubon Society, and Virginia K. Stowe, Chair of the Audubon New York Board of Directors.
