Tell us a little about the Aloft Hotels and how they differ from the rest.
PF: Aloft Hotels really incorporate a social scene, much like the W Hotels, so you’ll find a lot of similar moments in that regard. We’ve got the W XYZ Bar which really brings great design and that social vibe to life. Finding affordable yet luxurious design has always been a concept in fashion, home goods and other merchandising – so why not bring it into the hospitality sphere?
How does music come into all of this?
PF: The hotels have a huge commitment to showcasing live music talent in all of our locations. We are holding the 100 Days of Music program in conjunction with the opening of our 100th Aloft Hotel. It’s the perfect way to bring music and the social experience we love together.
