Debbie Miracolo
Debbie MiracoloI'm originally from Albany, NY. I like taking photos because as an artist, it's one of my favorite tools for creative expression. Event photography in particular allows me to incorporate traditional artistic elements while interacting with all kinds of fun people. I really like the challenge of capturing special moments and details in the midst of chaos! The best Guest of a Guest event I've ever photographed was... You're kidding! Choosing one seems impossible but one of them is The Annual Harriman Cup Polo Match on Long Island, which I shot two years in a row... Lots of colorful, partying preps and Polo! My favorite NYC venues to shoot in are rooftops! I've shot events at a number of beautiful rooftop venues with stunning views and of course wonderful light. To name a few, Hotel Chantelle, The Greenhouse Terrace at the iconic Scholastic building, The Sky Room at The New Museum. My best tip to give people preparing to be shot in a photo is be nice to the photographer:) No really, I would say just be yourself and don't do anything you'll be embarrassed about the next day. My biggest inspirations come to me from all directions: Architecture, Nature, Dreams, and on and on. I'm excited by people with open minds who express themselves in unique ways and think outside of the box. If I could do a shoot with anyone, living or dead, it would be myself as a teenager. When I'm not taking photos, you can catch me thinking about photos, daydreaming, hanging out with family and friends.
