How did StyleLikeU come about?
Elisa: It came about because I was feeling very frustrated as a fashion stylist. I didn't feel inspired with celebrities, it was just restricting. There was not a lot of creativity with editorial anymore. There were so many boxes as far as age and body type, race and socioeconomic and I was having a hard time fitting into those categories.
Lily: I grew up with her as my mom and I was obsessed with people with awesome style and I cared about finding my own but I didn't identify with fashion. I felt it was superficial and I didn't want to associate with that. We realized how deep free self expression was and how far it went into the rest of people's lives.
