I always start planning by thinking about whom the party celebrates. Recently, I wrote in my “From Darcy” section in MSW a list of 20 questions to ask yourself while planning that will help you personalize an event. Even though these questions are related to a couple planning their wedding, the same questions can easily be translated to any event. I hosted a party for my friend Mark Ingram for his 10th Anniversary in business (he has a high-end bridal atelier in Manhattan).
