Interview: Miss Lily's Resident DJ Max Glazer On The Shop's One-Year Anniversary
Where would you direct readers looking to get into the reggae music scene (other than Miss Lily's and Radio Lily, of course). Are there certain artists that they should start with?
We're lucky to be in a time when there is so much information available at your fingertips. If you hear something you like, Google the artist. Get on YouTube and dig around. Find me online and ask me. If you are just getting into dancehall, then you should definitely get familiar with Konshens, and if you are looking for something that's more traditional reggae, Chronixx and Protoje are the guys to watch right now.
Where's your favorite spot to hang out in NYC when you're not DJing?
My couch. Definitely my couch, followed by the studio in my basement.
What can Miss Lily's visitors and Radio Lily's listeners expect in the coming year - both from the Miss Lily's team and from you?
Expect more of what you've come to expect from Miss Lily's and Radio Lily. More great music and more good times. Personally, I'd like to get working on more original productions this year. Hopefully I can get back in the recording studio and start making some of my own music to play on the radio.
