Tell me about your backgrounds - where are you from and where did you work before Up&Down?Michael Goldberg: I'm originally from Florida. I actually moved here after college and started working with Butter Group shortly after that. I work in-house at Butter Group, as the Director of Marketing. I played a role in the spread of the 1Oak brand, from 1Oak New York, to Mexico City, to Las Vegas, to LA, and then I played an instrumental part in the rebranding from the Darby to Up&Down. [Michael Goldberg] Eamon Kelly: I moved to New York a couple of years ago from LA and started doing pop-up parties in Chinatown. I did Red Egg, [Madame] Wong's, Bottom's Up, all those kinds of things, and I came on the Butter Group team about 7 or 8 months ago. Before that, we did a pop-up called 415 at the old Butter space. We realized we all like working with each other and we started talking about this as an overall project. I came on to become a big part of it, and started to put together the space and coming up with ideas, and now this is my home. Ronnie Flynn: I came from Australia, and I helped open and run Southside nightclub before this, and worked at a number of other venues like 1Oak back in the day, Marquee, Acme, Jane Rooftop, and Westway, amongst others. I came on with these guys to help blossom this project at the end last year, and it was a no-brainer.
