Macy's Fourth of July Fireworks Lighting Up The City

Apparently the economy is causing fireworks throughout the country to be smaller this year. In New York City this statement doesn't seem to apply, since the fireworks were brighter and larger than life this fourth of July.-

After a day filled with red, white, and blue decorations, ice-cold drinks, and barbecuing, there is no better way to end the holiday than with fireworks. And why not with the biggest and most exciting displays in the country, The Macy's Fourth of July fireworks.People crammed along the streets in New Jersey and the city's piers to catch the extravagant fireworks. The show's move to the west side of the city didn't change it's greatness. The trademark "Golden Mile" fireworks, was extended another mile with green and red fireworks this year. For 26 minutes, the Hudson River was lit up with more than 40,000 shells of bright lights. Although there was a variety of colors and sizes of fireworks, I would have really enjoyed a "U.S.A" or Statue of Liberty shaped firework to top off the night.
