Plot Line: After a nervous breakdown, Joanna (Nicole Kidman) and her husband (Matthew Broderick) move to Stepford, Connecticut, a manicured, upscale suburban town. The ugly truth about the seemingly "too-perfect" housewives is revealed when Joanna discovers that the husbands of Stepford are genetically altering their spouses to create perfect mates.
Our Rating: The 2004 remake of the film has a lighter comedic tone to the book's serious underlying topics, like feminism and male dominance.
