Artist and activist Suze Rotolo was Bob's first girlfriend when he arrived in New York in 1961, introducing him to many of the topics he became famous for singing about. She appeared with him on the cover of his 1963 album, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, shot near their apartment on West Fourth Street. He said of Suze, "She was the most erotic thing I’d ever seen...a Rodin sculpture come to life." Songs inspired by her include, "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right," and "Boots of Spanish Leather."
