Actress, model, and former Playboy bunny (chic!) Sara Lownds met Dylan while she was still married, but the two became romantically involved soon after her separation. She became his first wife after they secretly wed in 1965, when she was pregnant with their first child. The songs he wrote for her read like mystic tributes, including "Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands," "Love Minus Zero/No Limit," and of course, "Sara." He said of her, "The one thing about [Sara] that I always loved, was that she was never one of those people who thinks that someone else is the answer to her happiness. Me or anybody else." After having four children together, they became estranged and divorced in 1977.
