As aforementioned, Randall's Island is a very open space with little shade, leaving your skin susceptible to the sun's potentially harmful UV rays. Stay safe and bring sunscreen (with high SPF)! Be sure to reapply throughout the day. Spray-on sunscreens allow you to avoid the oily residue that lotions often produce. Additionally, they are lightweight, quick-drying, and easily applied.
