Electronic music is at an impass right now. Amid controversy and over-saturation, EDM is beginning to take a backseat to deep house and UK garage, and even those genres are beginning to stretch the boundaries to create something truly different. However, if there was only one house show you had to see this year, one show with vibrant waves of synths and that steady 128 BPM, we suggest that it be Eric Prydz at Hammerstein Ballroom. He's one of the few producers who is truly respected along the spectrum of electronic music, and also happens to be adept at creating a damn good show. He's not in NYC that often, so don't miss this opportunity to see him live.
